Alex Plowright
Alex is a freelance composer and producer, based in Oxford.
He began composing aged 13, for a local theatre company. He is a classically
trained pianist, and he also plays the saxophone and guitar. He read music at
Oxford University, where the course involved practical modules in orchestration and techniques of composition.
Shortly after finishing his degree, Alex started composing for production music libraries, as well as writing music on commission for a BBC World documentary series. He also writes and produces music for an indie band.
Alex records each instrument in real time, which gives his music a 'human'
touch that is often lost with MIDI sequencing.
